green pine trees

This started long before

I had a name for it.

The story of Rooted Light isn't a business origin story. It's a personal one. The name came from a simple truth - everything starts with a seed. The roots grow deep before anything shows on the surface. And the light was always there, waiting underground.

The thread that was always there

There's a thread that runs through my family - intuitives, all of them. People who felt things deeply, who knew things before they could explain how, who carried a sensitivity that didn't always have a name. It wasn't talked about openly. It wasn't encouraged. But it was there - in the way my family moved through the world, in the things left unsaid that everyone somehow understood anyway.

My great-grandmother was the family reader. That title - and everything it carried - was passed down through the generations. Not as a formal teaching, but as a knowing. A thread. One that I felt pulling at me long before I understood what it was.

Growing up in a family of intuitives who weren't fully tapped into themselves or their intuition taught me something important: the gift doesn't go away just because you don't use it. It waits. Sometimes patiently, sometimes not. But it waits.

How each doorway opened

My path into this work didn't follow a straight line. It unfolded - one doorway at a time, each one opening because the last one showed me there was more.

The first doorway was Psychic Mediumship. A development circle with Dana Preshous cracked something open - the ability to receive, to trust what comes through, to sit with the unseen without needing to explain it. That was where it started. Not with technique, but with permission. Permission to feel what I'd always felt and finally explore it.

From there, Reiki found me. Usui Reiki 1 with BlueSkyes Journey gave me the foundation - understanding how energy moves, how it gets stuck, and what happens when you create the conditions for it to flow again. Reiki 1 & 2 & Animal Reiki with Racheal Blue deepened that foundation, opening the door to distance healing and working with energy beyond physical proximity. And then, Beyond Quantum Healing with Candace Craw-Goldman expanded everything further - working with consciousness in ways I hadn't imagined, blending healing with exploration of the deeper mind.

Completing the Reiki cycle came through Intuitive Reiki Master training with April Curry - and this was the shift that changed how I practice everything. Intuitive Reiki is about putting the manual down. It's about following what comes through in the moment - trusting your hands, your knowing, and whatever the session needs to be. That training didn't just make me a master practitioner. It taught me how to listen.

the pause
the pause

The year and a half I disappeared

Then came a break. A full year of not completing any training, not pursuing the next thing, just... living. And I think I needed that. Sometimes the doorways close for a while so you can integrate what you've already walked through.

And then the break got longer. Rooted Light went quiet for a year and a half. Not a planned sabbatical. Not a strategic pause. Just... a stop. A "coming soon" page went up, and the doors closed with no real intention of coming back.

There could be a polished reason for it, but the truth is simpler than that. Life moved. Everything moved - literally and figuratively. And the work waited, the way it always does with callings. Not loudly. Not urgently. Just there, in the background, humming quietly until I was ready to listen again.

Coming back wasn't a grand reopening. It was more like a remembering. Oh, right. This. This is what I do. This is what I love. This is fun. Like a lotus rising out of still water - not forced, not planned, just ready. Purity, rebirth, self-regeneration. And I think that's the most honest thing I can say about it - this work is fun for me. It's explorative. It's a series of journeys within itself. Not something I take lightly, but not something I hold with heaviness either. It flows. And I think that's exactly how healing is supposed to feel.

When the next doorways opened

When the next doorway opened, it was hypnosis. Quantum Journeys Hypnosis Academy with Kryssa Bowman gave me the framework to work with the subconscious mind and multidimensional consciousness, using doorways to access the deeper layers where patterns, beliefs, and perceptions live. That training led to certification as a Certified Hypnotist through QJH and a Certified Hypnotherapist through the International Hypnosis Association.

And in January 2026, the newest doorway opened - a year-long Shamanic Training and Medicine Wheel Program with Chris Krohn, a shamanic teacher and healer who has been guiding students and clients since 2005. This training is rooted in the ancient wisdom traditions of the Q'ero shamans of the Peruvian Andes, working with the energy field, the soul, and the sacred rites that have been passed down through generations of healers. It's a lineage - not just a certification.

There's something full-circle about this - a family line of intuitives finding its way home through a lineage of healers that stretches back thousands of years. Every modality I've trained in opened a new doorway. Every doorway revealed something deeper. And here I am - still walking through them.

What it's like to work with me

Working with me feels like talking to a friend who sees you... really sees you... without making a thing of it. There's no judgment here. That won't be said because it doesn't need to be. You'll feel it.

There are no scripts here. No one-size-fits-all process. Every session is guided by what comes through - your energy, your subconscious, your experience. The training, the tools, and the held space are what I bring. You bring yourself. That's it.

Nobody here is going to tell you what's wrong with you. Or diagnose your patterns or hand you a five-step plan. What happens is that I meet you where you are and hold space while you find what's been waiting to be found. Sometimes that's quiet and gentle. Sometimes it's surprising. Sometimes it's something you didn't even know you were looking for.

Everything is virtual - you'll be in your own space, comfortable and safe. All I ask is that you show up open. You don't need to believe anything specific. You don't need to have it figured out. You just need to be willing to explore.

To help people uncover the light that's already rooted within them - even in the darkest, most stuck, most confusing seasons of their lives.

Not by fixing what's broken - because you're not broken. But by clearing what's in the way, reaching the layers you couldn't touch on your own, and holding space while you remember who you've always been.

THE MISSION

What This Space Is Built On

You are the healer.

I facilitate. I hold space. I bring the tools. But the healing? That's yours. It always has been. My role is to create the conditions for you to access what's already within you - not to do it for you.

Light and dark belong together.

This work doesn't bypass the hard stuff. It doesn't skip to "love and light" without honoring what's in the shadows. You can only know how bright something is in the dark. The full circle of yin and yang - light and dark, passive and active, feminine and masculine, struggle and ease, breaking down and breaking open - that balance is where the real healing lives. It's woven into everything here, right down to the logo.

Your path is your path.

There's no formula here. No one-size-fits-all program. Your healing unfolds on your terms, at your pace, through whatever doorway feels right. I follow what comes through - not a script.

Go with the flow.

Healing isn't about forcing a breakthrough. It's about accepting where you are, finding the beauty in it - even the hard parts - and allowing what needs to shift to shift in its own time. We don't push. We flow.

This should feel like exploration, not obligation.

This work is fun. It's curious. It's a series of journeys within itself. I don't hold it with heaviness, and I don't want you to either. If healing feels like a chore, something's off. Here, it feels like an adventure.

This isn't a footnote. It's the foundation.

Confidentiality is non-negotiable. What happens in your session stays in your session. Your stories, your experiences, your process - they belong to you, and I hold them with the care they deserve. Nothing is shared, referenced, or used without your explicit consent.

This work does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace medical or mental health care. It's complementary - it sits alongside whatever other support you have in your life, not instead of it. I am not a doctor, therapist, or licensed counselor. If something comes up in a session that needs professional attention beyond my scope, I'll say so honestly and encourage you to seek appropriate care.

Practice stays within training - always. Only modalities and techniques that I've been properly trained in and feel confident facilitating are offered here. As my shamanic training continues, new offerings will become available - but only when they've been integrated, practiced, and are truly ready. Nothing gets offered before it's been earned.

The traditions and lineages this work comes from are honored. My shamanic training is rooted in lineage - practices and rites passed down through generations of healers. I approach this with deep respect and humility, not as something to extract, rebrand, or commercialize, but as something to steward with integrity. The same respect extends to every modality I practice.

Informed consent is everything. Before any session, you'll know what to expect. Nothing happens that you don't allow. You're always in control - whether we're working with energy, the subconscious, or the spiritual. If something doesn't feel right, we pause or stop. Your comfort, your boundaries, and your autonomy come first. Always.

No promises that can't be delivered. There are no claims of fixing you in one session. No guaranteed outcomes. No fear, urgency, or pressure to book. What I can promise is a held space, honest facilitation, and my full presence. The healing itself unfolds in its own way and its own time.

Accountability is ongoing. Ethical practice isn't a one-time decision - it's an ongoing commitment. I continue to learn, to train, to seek mentorship, and to hold myself to the standards of the lineages and certifying bodies I belong to. If I make a mistake, I own it. If I don't know something, I say so. Integrity isn't something I perform. It's how I practice.

Ethical practice isn't something I add to my work - it's something I build my work on. In a space where trust is everything, I take that responsibility seriously. Here's what that looks like in practice:

ETHICS & ETHICAL PRACTICE

I hold the space. You do the healing.

That's always been the truth of this work.
